Young Talented Leaders Scholarships, IE University, Spain
The IE Foundation, in collaboration with AJE, is offering the Young Talented Leaders Scholarships for students from Indonesia and Thailand for the academic year 2014-2015. The scholarships are directed at students who are looking to pursue their university studies at IE University, and who possess high personal potential and excellent academic qualifications.The scholarships will cover all tuition fees, transportation and accommodation in Spain for the scholarship recipient for the duration of the degree program at IE University. These scholarships apply to applicants who want to pursue one of the following four-year bachelor degrees:
- Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA)
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)
- Bachelor in Communication
- Bachelor in Psychology
- Bachelor in International Relations
Endowment of Scholarships
The endowment of the scholarships will be distributed in the following manner:
- Enrollment fee and tuition costs for the four year degree program
- Monthly allowance to cover living expenses in Madrid or accommodation in the IE University Halls of Residence
- Assistance with the flights to and from Madrid (once).
- Medical insurance (insurance for sickness, accidents for the recipients of the Young Talented Leaders Scholarship excludes pre-existing medical conditions and dentistry).
- Allowance for books and school supplies
- Applicants must be of Indonesian or Thai nationality and/or their family must currently reside in the country of origin.
- Applicants must be studying the last year of the secondary school diploma (high school diploma).
- Applicants must have excellent knowledge of the English language (spoken and written) accredited as requested at the time of application.
- Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence: an average GPA of between 8.5 and 10 or equivalent on their high school diploma.
- Justification/proof of financial status (one of the options)
- Last three monthly paychecks of parents or guardians
- Last year’s tax return of parents or guardians.
- Other documentation demonstrating financial status.
- - Agree to respond with dedication to and fulfillment of the academic demands of IE University and the conditions of the YTL Scholarship provided by IE Foundation and AJE.
- - Send all required forms and applications or reports as requested. Remain enrolled in the department in which the recipient is pursuing his or her studies. Any request for absence from the University, to change or modify the project of studies, to return temporarily to the country of origin, or return before the authorized date, should be presented to the IE Foundation for prior consideration.
- - If approved, and the student is authorized to temporarily leave the department in which they are doing their degree and they may continue receiving monthly allocations established for a maximum period of 30 days.
- - Present a report of the results obtained, together with a report from the academic director and official copy of academic certification, as appropriate, to the Scholarship Committee.
- - Recipients enrolled in a 4 year degree and benefiting from the YTL Scholarship are committed to return to their country of origin, for a minimum period of twenty-four consecutive months, commencing upon graduation. This commitment will be expressed in writing prior to the final award of the scholarship.
In order to send your application for the scholarship, students must:
- Be accepted into one of the specified undergraduate degree programs at IE University. Follow the standard admissions procedures by filling out the online admission application form or contact university@ie.edu.
- Submit the appropriate scholarship application form (available at www.ie.edu/financialaid) and send it to financialaid@ie.edu, indicating that you have selected the “Young Talented Leaders Scholarship” scholarship.
- Include two letters of reference/recommendation from professors or chosen persons who can attest to your academic achievement.
- Include any other supporting documents which attest to the academic excellence of the applicant, if these documents have not been sent previously in the admissions process.
- Provide the three most recent paychecks of their parents or legal guardians or, if these are not available, a statement of their income (last year’s tax return).
